Old Town Canoes (and kayaks) has be building canoes and kayaks for over a hundred years. One of their most popular recreational kayaks is the Otter series due to its excellent ease of use and affordable price point. The Otter can get you into kayaking on a budget. The Dirigo is what I call the "Otter with features". The Dirigo series offers that fantastic ease of use, but has multiple sizes and storage features that you just can't find in the Otter.
The smallest of the Dirigo series is the 106 XT kayak. At 10' 6" it is slightly longer than the Otter XT and also just slightly heavier at 41.5 lbs. The Dirigo is a great lightweight kayak for lakes and rivers (class I).
The Dirigo 106 XT features an ergonomic Active Comfort System seat with molded drink holder, stern hatch for small items (keys, wallet, etc...), thigh pads, foot braces, carry handles, bungee paddle keeper and stern and bow deck bungees.
Available in 4 colors: Sunrise, Cloud, Yellow, Lime.
